LuLu

We met LuLu twice before we had her on a week’s trial, then we adopted her, she will be 8 in July, she was so good after her initial barking at the first meeting & had been well looked after by her previous owner.

She settled in quickly, and found her spot on the couch but will move along when asked.  She likes her walks usually morning & evenings & when we have a run out somewhere in the car,

We think she is very clever, when asked to fetch by name certain toys & kongs she does. She is getting used to outdoor surroundings. She does not like umbrellas giving the collie bark & this is ongoing training.

She came from a quiet residential park & was not used to so many outdoor things, joggers, bikes, bells, buggies suitcases & school children. She does not like the usual Rough Collie things, sneezing, hoovering, deodorants, very sensitive to sounds, anything out of the ordinary outside.

She is very friendly with all dogs she has met, she will bark at people without dogs but is fine if they standstill and let her come to them

She will be meeting Goldie on 10th May 24  & again when she is on the Rough Collie Newcastle walk on the 11th May 24

Support Our Permanent Foster Collies

Every donation makes a huge difference for our collies

Many Rough Collies that come into our care are either over the age of 10 or found to have specific medical needs and cannot go up for adoption in the normal way. We are lucky enough to have dedicated foster carers where these collies can go to live and receive all the veterinary care, rehabilitation and long-term medication for the many ailments they display, all of which Collie Rescue pay for. Some of this can be very costly and this is where you would be able to help us financially in any way you feel you could afford.
